Material and structure

Outer shell material: The outer shell of a ski helmet is made of impact resistant materials, polycarbonate (PC), which have good impact and abrasion resistance, and can effectively withstand impacts and collisions.


LINING MATERIAL: The lining is made of high-density foam, polystyrene (EPS), which absorbs energy and reduces the risk of head injuries. The liner is soft and breathable and fits snugly to the head to minimize the feeling of shaking inside the helmet.

Lining and Ear Muffs: The lining and ear muffs are made of soft and breathable material that feels great to the touch. The earmuffs protect the ears from cold and wind while providing additional warmth.

Case#1: Helping a European Outdoor Brand Launch Their First EN12492 Helmet

Client Need:

A Swiss climbing brand needed a multi-standard certified helmet (EN12492 + EN397) with lightweight structure and custom-fit padding for high-altitude use.

Our Solution:

We co-developed a dual-certification design using high-density EPS + ABS shell, customized the cradle system, and optimized ventilation to meet alpine conditions.

Result:

Product passed third-party EN testing in the first round. Customer launched successfully in European markets in 4 months. Now entering second-season reorder.

 

Case#2: Rapid ODM Solution for an E-bike Helmet Brand in the US

Client Need:

Needed a ready-to-launch e-bike helmet compliant with NTA 8776, with stylish appearance and MIPS compatibility, under tight 60-day delivery timeline.

Our Solution:

Offered existing PC+EPS shell with quick-modified visor, added inner shell slots for MIPS system, and completed mold adjustments within 10 working days.

Result:

Customer completed Amazon launch before Q2 deadline, with first batch sold out in 6 weeks. Long-term cooperation started.

 

Case #3: OEM Horse-Riding Helmet with Custom Dial Fit & Matte Finish

Client Need:

A French equestrian brand wanted a stylish but affordable helmet with removable liner and smooth matte painting.

Our Solution:

We customized a one-piece PC mold, created special matte spray coating, and designed a rear dial fit system optimized for ponytail clearance.

Result:

3,000 pcs first batch delivered with zero quality complaint. Customer praised fit and comfort. Now collaborating on kid version.


Case#4: OEM Polo Helmet with Carbon Fiber Shell & Retractable Visor

Client Need:
In July 2024, a Dubai-based polo helmet client approached us, seeking an OEM & ODM manufacturer capable of delivering a fully customized solution. Their requirements included a wide brim, retractable sun visor, lightweight design, and certification under PAS and SEI standards.

Our Solution:
After a detailed review of the client’s needs, we created a 3D model and produced 3D-printed prototypes to confirm structure and aesthetics. Upon approval, we developed four size molds. To ensure certification readiness while achieving lightweight performance, we recommended a 100% carbon fiber outer shell paired with a high-performance, lightweight EPP liner. The retractable visor was engineered as a signature feature of the helmet.

Result:
The helmet is currently in the testing phase. The client has expressed strong satisfaction with the design and engineering approach, and collaboration is expected to expand once certification is complete.

Full-Face Helmet with Aerodynamic Dimple Surface
Client Need:
A German client requested the development of a full-face helmet with a unique surface featuring dimple structures, similar to a golf ball. The aim was to reduce air resistance during descent, improve stability, and minimize noise and vibration. The client had struggled to find a manufacturer capable of realizing this concept.

Our Solution:
Leveraging our advanced molding and surface treatment expertise, we engineered a helmet with precisely formed dimples across the outer shell. The design not only met the aerodynamic objectives but also maintained durability and aesthetic appeal, ensuring reliable performance in use.

Result:
We successfully completed R&D and moved the product into mass production. The client praised the helmet’s quality and performance and has already planned for additional orders.


Multi-Functional Safety Helmet Development

Client Need
A U.S. client approached us with the vision of developing a multi-functional safety helmet that integrates various detachable features. The design requirements included switchable ventilation holes, removable front and rear visors, plug-in goggles, optional sun-shielding shoulder protectors, ear covers, and face shields. Beyond modular functionality, the helmet also needed to achieve ANSI TYPE II, CE, and AS/NZS certifications, while keeping the total weight under 500g.

Our Solution
Over the course of 18 months, our R&D team engineered and tested each component to ensure both safety and usability. Special attention was given to the detachable design, ensuring that every accessory could be easily installed or removed without compromising the helmet’s structural integrity, comfort, or protective performance.

Result
We successfully completed the development of all components and achieved ANSI TYPE II certification. The next steps are CE and AS/NZS certifications, which are already in progress. With its lightweight construction, modular features, and international compliance, this helmet demonstrates enormous market potential and has already attracted strong client interest.
